Injury / Sub Q

academy festival today - 3 officials assigned and we had a bit of a debate amongst us on this one....

Blue v Yellow. Head collision in the box, we notice when ball is mid field ish and blow up for it. Both physios come on - yellow in worse shape than blue. Bit of evaluation on the pitch and both players make their way to the sideline. Yellow decide they are going to make a sub for the injured player which we allow before the restart. Restart with dropped ball and we wave on blue player who enters the field.

....did we do anything wrong there?

We were wondering about the fairness of yellow starting with a full 11 because they made the sub before the restart.

Related theoretical question - what if we wave blue on after the restart but yellow is still unsure/treating. Should we wave blue on or wait for yellow to make a decision on sub or bring player back on.

I cant see an issue as theoretically one players treatment could take longer than the others and therefore you would allow them to come back on at different times anyway.
If yellow arent ready to make a sub/return injured player carry on with the game.
