Referee of 9 seasons. Aged 22, not 21 as my profile states.

Main aim for season is to enjoy myself and better my officiating for myself but also the players.

Motto: Be who you are not what people want you to be.

Wish I'd started younger. I didn't get into refereeing until my mid 30's.

Same here, wish I had got into it when I stopped playing due to constantly picking up injuries in my mid 20s. Didn't know it was an option, not advertised anywhere at the time.

It wasn't until I saw a tiny little advert in the paper 4 or so years ago that I got into it. And even then there were several phone calls and a little bit of bewilderment until I managed to get through to someone about getting on a course.

Anyway, before @DanCohen17 picks me up on my tendency to go off topic again ginger ref, the 1902 part of your forum name, what does that refer to? Are there 1902 ginger refs already registered or is there some other special meaning behind your moniker?
