3 mins before half time a player was shown a yellow card. Players pointed out this was his second one. The first shown for sin bin.
Come half time referee realises that the 1st yellow against this player was for deliberately kicking the ball away. So 2nd yellow should have been red.
Realising error ,offending player was shown a red card, and his team started the 2nd half with 10 men.
Was this the right decision to make at a grassroots gamev

So was it sin bin, the first one? Kicking the ball away, as in dissent by action?

Cause then it shouldn't count as one of two cautions, right? I don't know about the rest but I'm new so just curious about that bit.

I had a game recently actually when one player hit a jackpot. Sin bin, caution and then straight red on the top ;)

If the R realizes a player was shown two cautions and not sent off, yes the player should be sent off. (The R has also created a protest for the other team. )
