All of a sudden I have an interest in this game.

Is the first goal offside? (City player is in an offside position)

It evened up as a very poor non application of advantage denied City a goal. Whistle went as the ball was being kicked in to the back of the net.

I feel for Kirsty Dowle with that non advantage tbh. We've all been there and it has to be the worst feeling!
Kirsty will know she should have waited a second on that one, but any referee who doesn't have empathy with her has no heart.

I do get annoyed with the reporting which all talks about 'a disallowed goal' , which it wasn't, but maybe that's lack of empathy with reporters on my part

In fairness, the goalkeeper very clearly (in my opinion) doesn't extend herself in an attempt to save the shot because the whistle has gone, so I think this is a bit of a non story anyway. (Obviously we would prefer to delay the whistle a fraction and wait and see, but it's not some horrendous balls up in my opinion)

She's not getting anywhere near it, if she does it would be the save of the decade in Women's Football. Her initial step was the wrong way.

I must admit I don't watch a lot of womens football but I do think she stops because of the whistle, not just because she can't get there.

Some of the comments by the commentators at the time were completely unfair on Kirsty and as for one of the analysts had a different view at full time than she did at half time - only following others, which wasn’t helpful.
