Biting

Although not explicitly stated I (we) assumed LAW 12 stated all DFK cases. There are 10 of them. We taught new refs who had trouble figuring out the restart that these are the only DFK offences and everything else is not direct.

LAW 14 explicitly states that a penalty kick only applies to one of the ten DFK offences in the PA.

Then we had a question from one of our entry level course students. What is the restart for biting?

Biting could be holding with the mouth?
Striking with the teeth?

I'm happy with a DFK (and RC, of course)

Striking. That's typically the one that contains any bit of "violence" toward an opponent.

Chinese burns are definitely covered by holding; I suspect wedgies are as well but what about pinching?

I just think if spitting has its own slot in the LOTG we may as well have one for biting rather than having to slot it under something that doesn't quite fit.

@McTavish All those are holding including nut grabbing which i have seen a few times.
