I don't think the absolute howlers (mentioned above) would justify the cost of VAR
Sitting there for weeks and weeks on end 'waiting for the kettle to boil'. I can't see that happening. Even then, there are howlers and then there are HOWLERS. Differentiating the two does not solve the problem of the subjective threshold for intervening

The challenge system is problematic but it's arguably better than what we have

Two tier football
The drain on resources in leagues that have no money
The dismal fan experience

But - EVEN MORE COLUMN INCHES (social sh*te) so must be good on the KPIs!

Extension of the challenge trial, though with the caveat that its mainly for events/leagues with low level resources. Really want to see this action though
