    Birmingham v Cardiff Shirt issue

Thought this was interesting, at Championship level, player with a replacement shirt that looks more like a training shirt (his shirt was torn). You would think each player would have their own second shirt in case of inclement weather to change at half time...

    Georgia v Luxembourg

Something we thought may occur more frequently when VAR was introduced. Play brought back after a goal. 2.40 to 5.25

    Dundee v Rangers Off

Referee getting critiscm for late arrival at the ground, likely his normal 10.15am, 1 hour 3/4 before kick off. Presumably would be close by overnight, in a hotel or at home? Clearly the local referee’s decision to call off the game earlier is not going to be accepted by Sky TV. No expert but...

    Rotherham United v Huddersfield Town

Few points to share opinion on: Thoughts on 1. The second Yellow? https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxbrHPcbET8O7Mw1wWS0xmTvS68t4TYYxh?si=lcBO8Z23JC-2ieyO https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxYECArH6SSSDV2IV2pqvfDr1zpuQTboO7?si=1Wg4BKOZQvms2eDj[/URL 2. Yellow for simulation? 3. Anyone wanting Thomas...

    Freiburg v West Ham

Has the referee judged the defender payed the ball against his own arm? Hence no penalty & length of VAR review. Thoughts

    PSG v Rennes

Not sure VAR shouldn’t be coming in here, was the striker already falling, could argue simulation? https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxtpEb9MFk_6T4tLcqrIMTA6JMYu1dqAxm?si=aRr2uQ-Z-R5u6tMt

    St Johnstone v Rangers

Great example from pre-match to AR ‘only come in on a penalty if I’m staring at you with HELP across my forehead’ 🤣 From 2.10 Referee Matthew MacDermid will be disappointed to have two VAR interventions in 8 minutes. Looks younger than his 30 years, well done to him for getting to this level.

    Carlos Corberan Sending Off

Did referee Sam Allison have any leeway on this dismissal, are his hands tied or could he have chosen any other options? https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/13073362/the-strangest-red-card-of-the-season-corberan-sent-off-in-front-of-new-owners

    Michael Oliver movement

Admiring MO fitness, for Chelsea second & third goals in 91st & 94th minute. Does that get any better, text book? https://www.skysports.com/football/video/12606/13070420/crystal-palace-1-3-chelsea-premier-league-highlights

    Rangers v Aberdeen VAR intervention

Not sure the referee appreciated the C&O interpretation from VAR here! Referee Don Robertson sticks with.his decision to send off Dujon Sterling and Rangers are down to 10 vs Aberdeen. http://x.com/scotlandsky?s=11&t=0N8pZur4-Q1t6VfihWJS9A Red card now appealed by Rangers.

    Chris Wilder Comments

Is it sensible to even allow managers into the referee changing room after a match, is any good going to come of it when emotions are high? At least CWs comments on the AR sandwich is getting the ridicule from the fans that it deserves...

Anderlecht v Genk to be replayed

That‘s set a precedent! Tie replayed because of Ref/VAR error, gave free kick for both team’s encroaching but should have been a retake. The screenshot, not best timed but not the worst encroachment you will ever see. At 1.20 Keep a copy of penalty re-takes in your match card book?

    Equatorial Guinea v Guinea Bissau

VAR decision to overturn referee decision to award the penalty. From 1.20 Longer version here, with penalty almost taken before VAR intervention. from 7.00

Ex Players fast-tracked to be elite referees

This (if true) is going to be fascinating, where these ex-pros start, how quickly they move thorough the levels to refereeing in the pro game, how difficult is it to progress without experience of learning at grass roots level? IMHO, the qualities to be a top player are a very different skill...

    Chelsea v Man City

More controversy, could VAR have advised AT to take second look at the screen to check a PK was the correct decision?

    White Card for fair play

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12644953/What-football-white-card-Premier-League.html Thoughts on a white card to recognise and encourage fair play, will it help referees at grass roots football?

    USA v Ghana

Great example & reminder of Playing in a Dangerous manner = indirect free kick. ‘Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear...

    Crawley v Wrexham
