    Triple save and...

My first thoughts were also yes. And I think based on the LotG it was an offence. But am I giving it...? Noooooooo

Dutch Referee Blog - Week 31 Laws of the Game Quiz 2018-2019

You get I’m referring to the LotG. I feel playing the ball with the thigh should be treated as a ”kick”.

    Video review harsh but fair

Had my second ever video review last night. Prep not helped by one late AR. Overall was super happy with mgmt, control, movement, overall, yes. Got a bit jaded 2nd half with a few slow signals. One moment of confusion where my late AR gave a lame DFK where is expecting a throw but we sold it...

    Portsmouth vs Sunderland 16/05/19

I don’t know what the ref did next. But, if you start getting ceremonial here you have to be very certain what you saw. If you get staff involved you better have seen something 1000% from a fan. And if you sanction a player for an altercation with a fan, again you better be 1000% ...and is...

Dutch Referee Blog - Week 31 Laws of the Game Quiz 2018-2019

Good quiz Sir Jan of Dutch Referee Blog. The foot or the ankle. I think this is bad. Where does the ankle stop and shin begin? So, you can play a controlled pass with the thigh but it’s not a kick, but a shank off the shin is? I guess that it depends if the only contexts in the new book for...

    What to write at substitutions

Are you asking if as a ref you have to note subs in addition to AR1 noting subs? Because that seems nuts if you have AR's (that are qualified NARs not club CARs). Sub time is the one time the ref gets a breather!

    Ajax v Tottenham

Agree on the first, though I would have a word to show I’ve seen it, give a strong warning and make it clear I’m adding time. On the second, when I see the GK throwing the ball away (unless the GK has just said it’s broken) I’m probably blowing and cautioning. Your reasoning in 2 doesn’t fit...
