    Penalty or no?

    That would be good.

    red-yellow-no card

    Sure, why not?

    Penalty or no?

I really do want to know what his thought process is though. This one is just stonewall for me, that I'm really struggling to understand why he hasn't give it.

    Penalty or no?

Yep. I believe that's why the Dutch referee's boss has commented on it publicly, saying that it should have been a penalty. Interesting, on the twitter thread there were a few references to 'intent' and one 'it was a collision as a result of challenging for the ball, so it's fine', which I...

Aussie A-League ref transfers to England

Maybe he's researching football refereeing? ;)

    red-yellow-no card

I hate those ones in real time as I'm never quite sure how bad it is, if there is contact. :dead:

    After Rough Game

That's pretty crazy that a team would get to a cup final and decide to ruin it for themselves like that...

    Penalty or no?

Pinched this off Twitter: https://streamable.com/fgisw Referee said no, and still said no after VAR. Apparently the Dutch referee boss van Egmond says it is a penalty... Personally I'm going penalty all day.

Why don’t we learn from rugby?

Well... I don't think rugby is immune from abuse especially at grassroots. I've heard plenty of horror stories of parents abusing rugby officials on the junior level matches just as much as I've heard it in footballing circles.

    Red or Advantage?

Huh, so yeah; Advantage and caution is the ideal decision here isn't it? I think I would have gone with the advantage, but as late as I could. I would say probably the ultra-safe decision is to give the penalty and in this case unfortunately for the referee the goal was still on. Wouldn't like...

    Fulham v Tottenham

I didn't see that in the clip I saw, makes sense then. Still, can't blame him if he did!

    Jewellery Again

Of course, rings, necklaces and earrings are vital for keeping your balance on football pitches. :wall:

    Fulham v Tottenham

Sadly the clip has been removed. =/ EDIT: Found a clip... What on Earth did Sanchez get cautioned for? I can see absolutely no reason for him getting a yellow given that Mitrovic basically tries to do a wrestling move on him and he didn't retaliate at all...

    Jewellery Again

Is it really a misplaced rule when examples have already been given of serious injury occurring because of jewellery though?

    Heddersfield v Citeh

To be fair... People do call him out for this on Twitter for coming across as someone who would be perfect in all his decision-making. I like seeing his activity with community and charity efforts though.

    Heddersfield v Citeh

Keith Hackett on Twitter is not impressed with the penalty decision or the 'blatant offside' for the goal. Whew.

    Jewellery Again

More annoying is seeing referees wearing rings... I was watching one match, a referee who had earned promotion - though I'm unsure how, he was not mobile at all... He came over to chat to someone at half-time and there he was running around with a ring on his finger. I don't see how you can...

    No Home Manager contact

Surely the first port of call is the league handbook? Do they not have those in England? If it's not in the league handbook it's in the county handbook over in Wales - both online and in paper form.

    No Home Manager contact

Oh nice... Ours is only half fee plus mileage if we turn up to a no-show event. Happened to me this season, wasn't too impressed.

    Best/worst dive you’ve ever seen?

Worst dive I remember is Rivaldo? 2002, world cup, phantom ball to the face. In my matches I can't really think of any that come close to pro league types...
