    BVB Vs RB Leipzig

Yep. I was always in agreement. I replied to you as you had the picture rather than in direct reply. 👍

    BVB Vs RB Leipzig

If that was a penalty no way can it be a red. Irrelevant of what you think he knows he is doing hes mighty close to the ball here so can't see anything other than yellow as an attempt/challenge for the ball.

    Law Questions

Firstly the laws cannot cover every scenario, so we revert to spirit of game and what football expects. Pick one. Probably best to pick one not already on a caution Eventually some has to give themselves up to take the restart. Easy pickings. I'd be very very clear with skipper what the...

    Offside Law 11

As you describe it. No. It does not read like a deliberate play

    Angry parent

Agree. Also agree. But feel necessitated to remind of safeguarding best practise. Away and home manager/coach should be involved. Basically, don't take the children to the changing room/place of safety alone. Agree Finally, it might be an idea to have a plan for such an eventuality. This may...

    Offside Law 11

My suggestion is that you read the guidance, in the LOTG, on deliberate play and think about how that applies to your scenario.

    AR marks

Depends on the level. At step 2 I've ranged from 70.5 (deserved) and a 73.5. average is around 72.4. Step 6 I got a 74.5 on a game I did. All luck of the draw and what opportunities you get and also knowing when not to get involved too.

Pretty certain Hooper in the former there, but as a general point, it's a fair point.

Level Four - go for it or no?

Ah! Well as a level 4 Referee, an hour is probably sufficient, I tended to go for 1hr 15. But the commitment and time elements are more around level 4 assistant refereeing. Clubs are generally more engaging and hospitable. There is probably a bit of hanging around, chatting and what have you...

Level Four - go for it or no?

@GraemeS it is not beyond the realms of possibility the comment was not aimed at you. I think Rusty has tried to point that out. You didn't make the interesting comment, so it was not aimed at you. TBF an hour is rushed at step 3. And the comp rules specifically require us to be there 90...

Level Four - go for it or no?

For the Southern League, at least, that's a requirement within competition Rules: 14.4 Match Officials should be present at the appointment at least 90 minutes prior to the scheduled time of kick-off. The appointed Referee may be required to visit the ground earlier if requested to do so by...

    Manager calls after game

The league might have a policy but no way is that in the SCOR and getting signed off. I just don't see a world where this would be healthy for the game. And to be honest, I just wouldnt go anywhere near a league that allowed this. I'm not keeping my phone open for someone to ring and question...

    Man City v Spurs

I'm in agreement to a point..I think for us within this forum and the levels we operate at, you are bang on the money. I think at this level, especially around Haaland not looking etc I think there is less consideration needed. Haaland doesn't need to look. He just plays that's ball because he...

    Man City v Spurs

Ok well you are quoting me out of context then...read the post I was responding to who said it was a missed advantage and so a caution for SPA. The promising attack at that point had not started so it couldn't be an SPA offence. I agree the ref should wait, but that's adding a new context to...
