    Seasonal 5-4

Perseverance is often key. When looking back in a year or so’s time it may be you will feel that in events, the promotion came at the right time.

    CFA registration fees

In respect of your Nb comment concerning submission of yellow & red cards to the County FA - though perhaps not if both or either of the two teams involved in the game are unregistered with the CFA, or in a League not registered with the CFA.

    CFA registration fees

They do, but are a non-profit organisation so re-invest back into the game, especially at grassroots.

    Seasonal 5-4

In the main that is correct, though a few things to point out. Whilst Observers are always likely to find many Supply Leagues clubs within a 25 mile radius, this may not be the case with Contributory Leagues which is why is best for Observers who want regular games to include those clubs within...

    Seasonal 5-4

Though Observers do receive what I consider to be an adequate flat fee payment, whereby for many, including me, money is not the driver. In any event, despite whatever clubs Observers include in MOAS as their preferences, generally, those appointing games on Supply Leagues will appoint within a...

    Seasonal 5-4

That is definitely true and not much if any transparency, though I think it is safe to say that some of these lower merit table promotions were for geographical reasons. Unfair, but it did happen. I don’t know if this still happens but it shouldn’t imho.

Definitely agree with all of that James.

    Seasonal 5-4

I can’t talk for any other assessment day apart from a 2-1 I am aware of whereby at the season the Referee was a L2 (first season) and by Christmas he was a L1. This came about by decent marks from club & observers and flying through the fitness test and laws of the game as well as perhaps other...

Definitely - no doubt about it.

I do get it that it’s not the same.

    Celtic - Hearts

Yes when looked at that way, but in the circs could also be looked at in that they were in the time period of that minute viz I can’t remember the actual stoppage time shown but let’s say 9 mins - they were in the 9th min & had passed the 8th min - so could say not reduced (I appreciate I am...

    CFA registration fees

Though that’s not a surprise with secondary CFA. I moved to my secondary CFA in 1992 & I haven’t ever received anything from my parent CFA since then & nor would I expect to. All registrations/DBS/Safeguarding etc are from secondary/current CFA.

    CFA registration fees

Presumably, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but surely this process can only be in place for those clubs that are registered but have an unregistered Referee because unable to get hold of a Registered Referee? I would be very surprised if the CFA deal with email reports from unregistered...

    CFA registration fees

You would be an unregistered Referee, not covered by the CFA insurance policies and affiliated leagues require registered Referees. If you go down the unregistered route you are likely to be asked to do unaffiliated/unregistered clubs and the challenges that brings with misconduct etc.

    MUN v NFO

I definitely agree that the law concerning handball is more complicated than it ever was and should be, but let’s not forget that although much simpler in my hey days of the 70s, 80’s, 90’s & even 2000’s, the award of penalties still came across on many occasions as inconsistent. So, whilst...

    Celtic - Hearts

Absolutely could do that. But would they want a reply - don’t think so and same thing could happen again unless no spectators allowed. Would that be the right thing to do - I don’t think so. Just because of what happened other than replaying the game, everything else the SFA can still do -...

    Celtic - Hearts

Depends which way you look at it. Game is 90 mins - 45 mins each way. The Referee played that. Granted once stoppage time was informed to the 4th official and displayed strictly speaking he should have played no less, but then I think it could be argued with seconds not mins remaining that...

    Celtic - Hearts

As far as this game was concerned Herts were never keen to go back whereby they soon got on their coach and returned back to their ground, most still in kit and boots & many of their supporters greeting them. This was mainly because from reports I have read, the Referee did end the game almost...

    Celtic - Hearts

As others have now said/alluded to - it could have been a brain fart moment by an elite AR.
