    505 errors

505 errors are caused when the server doesnt recognise, or refuses the recognise the HTTP protocol of the client i.e. whatever web browser he's using to access the site. This sounds like it's technical issue on his side rather than the site, unless @Ross has been playing around with the server...

Studs up and a push in the back - A League

Res for the tackle and a red and penalty for the push. If a player commits a dogso offence through pushing or pulling an opponent it has to be a red card.

    Polar V800 vs. Vantage V

Garmin were attacked with ransom ware last week, it took them a while to get the key to unlock/retrieve their files etc.

    Bournemouth and Goal Line Technology

It will be interesting to see whether they go through with it, and if they do how it pans out. I I wonder who they would sue, Hawkeye for the technological failure, or PGMOL for not using VAR to double check the goal, if that isn't a clear an obvious error then I don't know what is.

It didn't occur to me this consider the handball section, because I wouldn't class handling a back pass as a hand ball offence as such, because it is a technical offence the same as holding the ball for more than 6 seconds etc.

See that's what I thought, and then re-read that part of the laws and second guessed myself. If you are specifically looking up information on dogso dismissals the laws aren't worded in the best way. They make a special effort to say that a goal keeper can't be sent of for DOGSO-H in their own...

That's what I initially thought, however after checking the laws a player can be sent off for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity by any offence punishable by a free kick: A goal keeper handling a back pass is punishable by a free kick, and in this case it would appear that by doing so...

To correct my previous post you can send a player off for DOGSO by any offense that is punishable by a free kick, not just a direct free kick (that'll teach me to post when not wearing my glasses). So if the player hasn't touched the ball first then a red card for the keeper and an IDFK seems...

    Polar V800 vs. Vantage V

I used to have a V800 and upgraded to a Vantage V, partly because my V800 was coming to the end of its life and I got a bonus at work. There are some good articles which cover the differences in features between the two models better than I can here. Whether it is worth upgrading depends on...

Probably, wasn't like that in my day etc etc.

    Jon Moss’ Boots

It's seems the only people who complained were some retired referees. However, I'm surprised Mike Dean is allowed to rock a sweet beard.

    Jon Moss’ Boots

I've always got the impression that professional refereeing is very cliquey, and the majority of retired premier League referees seem to have massive chips on their shoulders.

Fifa to take VAR off ifab?

But how would FIFA enforce how VAR is used and ensure that competitions use it in accordance with the laws and guidance given?

Handling the ball - the way forward

That would be easier, you'd still have people complaining that it's not fair to penalise someone for an accidental hand ball etc. I think this law is one of those where you'll never please everybody.

Handling the ball - the way forward

The problem is that by simplifying the wording in the laws you introduce inconsistency, I've seen referees who would give a free kick if the ball went within a foot of someone's arm, and I've seen referees who would only give a free kick if the player picked the ball up and ran 15 yards with it...

    Burnley penalty v Wolves

The correct wording is in the book already. Whether you agree with it is an entirely different matter.

    “Imminent”

I think they've got one planned that covers what to do if an attacker accidentally handles the ball at a corner on a full moon when the wind is blowing east to west. The session on what to do if a defender accidentally handles the ball is scheduled for next January.
