I read today WGS is closing by the end of the season.

Any ideas as to why? It works perfectly well for me.

Any ideas as to what's replacing it?

There may still be potential for that to happen, but I would be concerned for all eggs to be placed into one basket, especially when so much is held there already, including footage of all games from PL to National League North & South.
 
I wonder if you guys are moving to Comet? In Scotland we moved to Comet at start of the season. Slowly but surely all forms of football are being administered on this system; teamlines, misconduct, appointments etc. after a rocky start I must say I have become a huge fan.

I’d be interested to hear other scottish referees opinions on it.

For match admin I think it’s great. It took me approximately 90 minutes to figure it out for my first game this season but since then it’s been fine - far quicker than the old extranet as well. Plenty people said it was a nightmare for clubs to get players registered on during the summer though.
