Looks like ref accidentally hits player in the face then player pushes him away instinctively

Incredibly harsh and one the ref could have managed
 
I dragged the cursor along to slo-mo it. Looks like player’s hand catches referee in the face.

Personally, think it's very harsh.
The player is jogging past the ref who has put his arm out to indicate a throw, I assume, and struck the player whose instinctive reaction it to "bat" the arm away.

Tell me a ref who hasn't accidently put their arm out and struck a player and immediately apologised/laughed about it with the player.
