WHU vs NFO

The Referee Store
Think West Ham can have little complaint. Michail Antonio appeared to change direction and had both hands raised to the chest area to block off the defender, who would have had a clear path to challenge Rice if he had wanted to.

How on earth can we allow a referee to make a VAR decision when home fans are literally yards away giving him awful abuse.
Looks absolutely awful.

Has to be a red card. On what planet is the handball not DOGSO/DOG??
I am shocked by that. But the Forest fans/players have a point about a foul in the build up to the pen - would like to see it again.
Cracking game!

That absolutely had to be a sending off for DOGSO. It's a shot on target and stopped with the arm, no reasonable basis for a caution the GK position is a red herring it is still an obvious goalscoring opportunity.

Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs (except a goalkeeper within their penalty area).

Begs the question, 'Why is VAR needed to Referee and correct all KMDs?' Rob Jones is merely acting as signalman for the VAR, yet I ordinarily think he's a good Ref
Anyone who can't see this unintended consequence of VAR is blind. I don't believe RJ would miss these decisions ordinarily

Still also haven't seen the second shot off the bar onto the goal line - must have been even closer to the first. How the Hammers don't have a goal and Forest don't have 10 is just bizarre...

Only disagreement is with the caution.

Goalkeeper is irrelevant here - that’s an obvious opportunity.

It's not an opportunity. The shot is away.
Has he denied an obvious goal?
I think I'd have to say no.

He's a lucky boy certainly.

The goalkeeper is about to save the ball. How on Earth can qualified referees think that's a red card?
How can a qualified ref say that was not a goalscoring opportunity?

...at this point someone will wheel out some UEFA guidance not in the book...

There was an incident yesterday. Graham Scott wrongly gave PIDM just before Wilson scored for NUFC. Everyone said the Ref should not have given the decision because he should have waited until after the ball crossed the line so VAR could sort it out. Moral of the story, VAR is increasingly Refereeing most KMD's and the R is just a signalman
