Player injured before kick off, after team sheets have been submitted

A player is injured before kick off but after team sheets have been submitted.

I know they can be replaced by a named sub, and would assume this sub can then be replaced by a new player (who presumably then gets retrospectively added to the team sheet).

But I cannot find this assumption in law. Can anyone guide me here?

Laws are not specific about injured players. This would fall under competition rules if the team list can be changed after it has been submitted and before the games starts. It would also be possible for the incoming player to be a starter.

Law 3.6 however is specific about a sent off player/substitutes on the team list. A new person may NOT be added to the team list.

Law 3 implicitly states that the requirement for team lists is as per the rules of competition and doesn't specifically cover the scenario you are asking about.

So as @one alludes to, you would probably have to refer to the ROC to see if they cover it. And while they might not cover this exact scenario either, they might possibly address whether a player can be "retrospectively added to the team sheet."
