Coin Toss - YOUTH Games

I had a quick query about the Coin Toss and couldn't find the answer to my questions anywhere.

As I'm only refereeing youth games at the moment. What options do you gibe the captains if they win the Toss? Do you give them the option to switch sides at U11??

Secondly, do you re-toss at the start of ET if the game is a Cup Game?

Thanks in advance for your help

Do you referee according to laws of the game?If yes then they have the choice of choosing sides or kicking off. If they choose sides the other side kicks off. If they choose to kick off the other side chooses sides.

If not according to laws of the game then there may be something in the comp rules, if not do what you like really.

They have the choice of ends or kickoff, and the same applies if extra time is needed.

So we can understand the question better, can I ask, what do you ( and/or) why?

Just for the record in the over 100 Games that I've watched, I've never seen an U11 team switch sides, no matter the weather!!
Maybe not, and as I said above, most captains, whatever the age, don't swap ends, but that's not really the point.

If ANY match has an independent, qualified referee, it should be refereed as per the LOTG - its the minimum required.

Whether they choose to switch ends or not is irrelevant. They MUST be given that choice in the first place.

Are there any other laws you completely ignore because the players are U11?

Think that's quite rude actually. I'm just generally asking a question that wasn't covered in my course. I have only refereed 4 games and am just trying to work out how to do things properly.

It is a bit worrying that something as basic as how to choose ends and kick off wasn't covered on your course. You have your answer now though so hopefully there is no further confusion, the winner of the toss gets to choose ends or to kick off.
