Liverpool vs Chelsea

The Referee Store
I should know this but I want to check - what would happen if you book Kepa and then subsequently have to book him again during the shootout?
You'd caution him again, and hopefully he'd know he's lucky to still be on the field of play...

Or do you mean 2 cautions, both in KFTPM?

Cant believe there was a thread on this and the Keita challenge has only just been brought up.

Its one of the easiest red cards you will see for me, i dont blame the referee (who had an excellent game) but how can VAR look at that and think its not a red card.

I think what may of saved him from a red card was the intensity, its the only thing I can think of. The other thing is, Attwell gived advantage to Liverpool so surely that is a clear and obvious error to intervene, as Attwell must'nt of fully seen the contact from Mane?

No way was that a red card challenge. Sure, foot was near waist high when challenging for the ball, but Chalobah also has his foot at the same height, and his speed in moving towards the ball meant the force was more so from his movement as it was from Keita's foot being high.

Oh, and agree with offside decision on VVD.

Had Kepa scored his penalty, would both teams have had to keep the same order for their 2nd penalties as the first lot?

Chalobah can have his foot whereever he wants as long as he isn’t endangering the opponent, so him having his foot high and moving quickly isn’t relevant to how Kieta goes in for the challenge. It’s not Chalobahs responsibility to get out the way of it

However, I wanted a booking for Kepa during the penalty shootout
I thought Atwell handled it with common sense in the circumstances. He was aware of what Kepa was up to and kept him in check at every penalty. No damage done and it all worked out in the end.

Nah, it was borderline farcical by about the 4th penalty. There's no point repeatedly giving the same warning if it becomes clear you're not going to act on it. Should have been asked to stay on his line initially, told on the second kick and booked on the 3rd. And I'm arguably being too generous there.

no, any order...keepers could have gone again!

No - any order they like - player who took the 11th penalty could take the 12th if he wanted to.
This.

As is clearly spelled out in Law 10. Immediately after the paragraph giving the regulations for the "sudden death" phase and up to where all eligible players have taken a kick, it states:

The above principle continues for any subsequent sequence of kicks but a team may change the order of kickers

Trivia question. In KFTPM is it possible for the same player to take consecutive kicks validly (retakes don't count)?

Hmm. I want to be smart and say no as their opponent has to take one in between.
But yes they could take penalty 11 and 12 for their team.
I'm also thinking of the ABBA system, could that fall on penalty 11 and 12 allowing a player to take truly consecutive pwnalties

I think you answered your own question. ABBA system is not a 'valid' system. Also my question was for true consecutive kicks (irrelevant of team).

In short my question was not answered :)

Answered my own question that I didn't ask? 🤔

OK...you're taking your teams 11th (or 22nd) pen and miss. Your opponent then gets sent off in the act of taking their pen but before its taken...so it's marked as missed? You can then legally take the next one...sounds wrong but I'll go with it
