Whistle technique

One thing coming up regularly seems to be my whistle is too quiet.

I'm using a fox 40 classic and after some research discovered the tongue technique.

I still can't actually hear a difference though and I'm finding it hard to alter the tones using the tongue technique.

I was thinking of buying a fox 40 Sonik as I can't afford a valkeen.

Advice I've been given is just to blow louder and practice but I'm wondering if there's something else anyone could advise on?

Sonik blast is good for those that can't get on with a fox 40. It's what I used Pre-Valkeen.

Yeah get the fake or real Valkeen. Practice the tongue out in the countryside.
I reckon nothing beats a Valkeen blast to stun players and prevent handbag escalation;)

I think different folks have different experiences with different whistles--and I have tried way to many (but not the Valkeen). I wasn't a fan of the sonik when I tried it. I personally prefer both the fox40 mini and the molton dolphin (which may have been the precursor to the Valkeen) to the fox40 classic.

I've got two games tomorrow and have found a new technique.

I can't really describe it but it's like focusing on the middle of the mouth rather than the whole mouth (I hope I never have to write that sentence again).

I shall report back with the results. Hopefully I notice a difference and it's not just another placebo.

Placebos work. ;)
