Need some advice. I wear Adidas Copa Mundials but wanted to get some Astro Trainers. Because i wont wear them that often i didnt want the expense of buying the Copa Mundial trainers. So i bought another pair of Adidas online (sports direct) and they are so narrow i cant even get my foot in them. Sent them back and ordered a Puma pair, exact same problem. I dont have wide feet in any other footwear.

Any recommendations on what to buy?

Try some off road running shoes. Asics make some Fujirunnegades, I did nearly all my matches for three or four seasons on grass and 4G. Fit my fat feet fine......

Anybody use the copa trainers on grass?

I'm having problems with my achilles and was thinking of giving them a trying, usually only wear them on 3 and 4g pitches

Are u using gel inserts? Worked wonder son my foot problem with added cushioning. Imagine same for an achilles issue.

I've got some but never really stuck with them, as they seem to move about or my foot felt as if it was moving about inside, supposed I'll give them another go

Likewise I wanted a cheap pair of astros in pre season, tried a few pairs on & found them to be very narrow and could barely get them on, tried a pair of Mundial Astro Turf and they were fine & comfortable. I reluctantly parted with £85 but it turns out to be money well spent as I’ve worn them every game except one this season, Surprising how well Astro’s can take to a slightly wet pitch.

No more foot aches pain or blisters from studs.

I did similar but switched to trail shoes. They’re designed for off road stuff like Tough Mudder (other psychotic runs are available) They have rubber studs in the bottom giving all the support of a running shoe with the grip of a boot
