Call-off a game

Level 5 Referee
I'm a new referee with my first experience of not starting a game due to unsafe pitch surface. Both teams agreed with decision, Ref Sec of the league supported my decision, now what I am uncertain about, do i still put in a report on Whole Game System for the fixture?

It’s my understanding that you don’t need to.
In my county at least, we only HAVE to use the whole game system if there are cards or other reports to make.

I agree. Only if cautions, sending offs or misconduct occurs do we have to submit reports on the WGS.
 
I would say in this case not to enter it as the game hasnt taken place.
 
On WGS there is a match abandoned option, but my understanding of this is only used if the match has started. I was also under the impression you only needed to record a match if there were caution etc, but was told some refs use it just to keep a record of every game they have done.
 
If nothing else, recording all games keeps the CFA aware of the games a ref has covered
 
WGS is used for discipline, the game hasn't started so there can't have been any misconduct. Just report it to the league.

Same with MOAS, the FA keep drumming the message "if the game hasn't started don't touch MOAS".

Am i the only one entering games into WGS when there is no disciplinary report?
 
In terms of promotion etc
The requirement for 20 games blah blah
I thought maybe this was how the FA tracked appointments

Its upto the individual referee to track appointments. You are then given a form to complete to send to all of your leagues. This form will list your match details and have a section which the league complete to confirm your club marks.

My county provide a spreadsheet that we, the match officials, have to keep up to date and submit at the end of the promotion period.

However, my County also tell us not to cherry pick games that we submit for observation, as they do know the games we are appointed to.

Whether they know this through regular updates from affiliated leagues through out the season, or at the end of the season when they collect club marks etc I don't know.
