Nike 2018 kit

So I’ve treated myself to a new kit... someone tell me... is the Nike tick meant to be white or greyed out like the top and shorts?

It’s grey on the top and shorts.

The socks in the Nike catalog are also grey tick but most suppliers are providing the normal Nike Classic II socks that have the white tick.

It’s messing with my OCD!! Surely the tick should be grey too?! I’ll be getting the proper socks or I’ll go crazy

Thanks ASM, I'll stick with the white socks provided until some smart person says 'Couldn't afford the socks then?";)
 
The grey tick socks are on preorder for september in most places, who knows why. I'm getting the white tick ones for now, then the grey when they come out. I suspect 90% of refs will have the incorrect white tick socks also but what can you do.

Buy a different brand! I might upgrade to the long sleeve top but will still keep my old short sleeve until it wears out. I do need a second pair of shorts and socks. Might hold fire until I can get the whole of the new kit or just use last years long sleeve top.
 
I could do with a new pair of shorts mine are like something Stanley Mathews would wear, they’re massive I look like bloody Omid Djalily in them not to keen on the shirt that much either, only had the kit half a season and cost me bout £50 shame to chuck it in the back of the wardrobe & buy another one but I really do need to feel confident in what I wear, if I could ref in a nice pair of fitted polo shorts Lacoste polo & timberland boat shoes I’d feel a lot more self confident in my appearance.

All in black isn’t the most eye catching of looks, clatenburg looked the nuts the other nite in that charity game, I’d love that kit.

Fantastic bunch down there ex pro referee I believe started the business & couple of referees work there, it’s an online business but I actually went there & tried stuff on because I can’t be doing with sending stuff backwards and forwards if it doesn’t fit.

Not sure where your based they are near Croydon.

Even so if you know your size and your not awkward like me you u can order online, they’ve got loads down there and found it very reasonable i got a full Nike kit 2015, 3 fox 40’s cards flags wrist bands for whistles for like £50 odd.
 
I went to the office too many years ago, they were donating old kits for Africa and I had to pick them up for a former matriarch of a previous forum. Ended up buying a few bits for myself as there aren’t many referee dedicated shops anywhere! Nice people..
 
Got my new Nike kit yesterday - the shorts are absolutely ridiculous, being about 15cm too long. When you have the socks pulled up the bottom of the shorts almost touches them, it looks like i'm wearing a clown's outfit. Not only that, but they are also made for someone with massive legs as they are very wide.

I'm not a short guy (170cm, or 5' 8") and I went for Medium, but i'll have to send them back and go for Small and see if they are a little shorter and tighter on the leg. Alternative, I'll have to get them adjusted.

Anyone else?
 
Pocket slot is quite small on the new shorts IMO...probably trying to help coins and cards not fall out but now I think it’s slightly hard to get the yellow out (yes I’m a yellow front right short pocket vs breast pocket)

Just sounds like you got a size too big to me
 
I think I have to agree. I have always ordered medium in nike and I wear a lot of nike. But the new kit, I only have the shirt, does feel a little on the larger side. I can live with it this year but next year I'll order small
 
Got this new kit recently, Shirt sizing is pretty consistent but as other say it is on the larger side. Shorts for me are defintely tighter compared to last seasons.
