The deception is the key bit. I've pointed that out to a few people who've moaned because I haven't pulled players up for shouting it.

I only warm the calves up if it's Fresian... Seriously, I tend to do a really thorough massage with rubbing oils before the game. I spend more time doing that than actually stretching them.

All I'd say is remember that you have to get up for work on a Monday morning - some players seem to forget that when they throw themselves into challenges. I actually thought about hanging up the whistle (for the second time) last weekend after getting punched in the face for sending someone...

Lichfield junior and adult leagues on a Sunday and the Midland Combination on a Saturday for me. Sometimes do Midland Floodlit Youth during the week too.

Just got back from the physio, seems the issues are causing me problems with my tendons and my hips, hence the fact I seem to keep picking up random niggles. Bad news is that podiatry appointment could be months away :(

I had a manager ask me if his side could take quick ones if they wanted them. I said yes...but that it could only happen if I wasn't having a word, issuing a caution etc. I tend to always do this anyway on a decision around the edge of the box to give me time to get in position for the best view...

On the line in a Mid Com U21 game tomorrow, then three games on Sunday (adults, kids and charity). Got excited when an email about FA Youth Cup appointments came through...premature as I wasn't down for any lines on there! :oops:
