SFP or reckless at best. Or YC for Sterling's dive?

(And doesn't show why Aguero's on the ground. Two fouls in two seconds.)
The important detail that gif doesn't show you is Oliver's angle. What you need to realise is that he was positioned so that Milner was between him and Sterling - from that angle, it's basically impossible to tell what happened.

Aguero's kinda fell over with the help of Klavan :hmmm:

As for Sterling he was falling long before any contact was made it looks to me like he slipped when he went to stop and the only slight very very slight contact made with Milner was his left leg yet his right foot is in mid air long before any contact! YC diving with :poop:!

Well, that's almost Trumpian in its alternative factness.

Are you Kelly-Anne Conway?

No need for that!

My argument is simply that it's very easy to understand why Oliver can't give that penalty - from his (entirely correct) angle, it would be nearly impossible for him to clearly see a contact between Milner and Sterling, due to the position of Milner's body.

Would agree with you Graeme, there is so lightly contact and for Sterling to go over the way he did there is no way MO could have called that 100% as a penalty. Having viewed it numerous times I still wouldn't, even with super slo mows etc!

Now then Kelly-Anne, I'll give you the credit of not just being a WUM. Milner's off the ground, he gets Sterling's right ankle with his right foot and his left ankle with his left foot. It's Great Wall of China stonewall. 14.30 at https://weshare.me/c4c0f1112724ac09/liv_city_post.mp4

The real giveaway at the match was that there was no instant replay of the "miss" on the big screens - a sure sign that someone (I'm not sure who controls the feed) decided they couldn't show it because it would have shown a poor decision.

And you're still clearly ignoring my point and being a **** about doing so.

I'm not arguing for a second that it shouldn't be a penalty. But there are two men in the ground that have to make that decision - MO and his assistant. It's VITAL to consider their positions and when we do so, it becomes clearer why he can't give that decision from where he's standing without guessing.

Again, still not arguing that it shouldn't have been a penalty, but I'm also fairly sure it's FIFA/PL policy never to show replays of contentious decisions for crowd control reasons. There's nothing remotely unusual, suspicious or indicative of a conspiracy about not showing that incident in the ground.

Graeme, the only thing I know about your point is that you're guessing that MO didn't get a good view. He can't give what he doesn't see but you're guessing that he didn't see it. He saw but didn't give an obvious stamp the week before. That leaves the AR who must have seen Milner's off the ground lunge.

At the very least you can't seriously suggest that MO was well positioned and still didn't see it.

Apart why he didn't give it, the only talking point is whether it should have been red (either for DOGSO or SFP).

Have you looked at his position when the incident occurred? I have.

He was in a logical position for in-PA action, but, as I've said before, that put Milner between him and the point of contact. It's a fairly logical assumption that he didn't see it - unlike your stance which seems to be based entirely on guesswork and conspiracy.

That's ridiculous. It is possible his view was obscured by other players but the idea that Milner was between him and the point of contact is beyond nonsense. He'd have to be 15 metres closer to the centre line to be behind Milner.

Where did conspiracy come into it? What do you know that I don't?

Of course they are biased against City....that's why they never ever get decisions...the refs...FA..UEFA..FIFA.....other teams even try to beat them and score against them, how dare they! I mean if you can't buy the league with all your money then what other way can you win the league?? Oh wait Leicester won it last year...but that was because everyone was against City!:troll:

Thats funny I thought everybody was biased against Liverpool and that's why they hadn't won the league for so long. I will have to change my mind and maybe find another reason. Can't even blame the curse of Carlsberg any more.

And we can't blame the curse of Clattenburg much longer.
Oliver gave us two penalties at home to Everton this season and we missed both. He didn't give us this one in the League Cup Final last season
