Correct decision, but these can only be reached with a discussion between the officials, most likely - can be difficult for the AR to be sure about the visual interference.

What's with the blue referee socks?

UEFA has adidas do referee kits with shirts and matching socks for Champions League and Europa League play. Why? Because they can.

It does not help, a discussion between the referee and the AR to rule out the goal does it. Constantly been an issue of mine, interfering with an opponent, consensus has to be reached between bot AR and referee before a decision can be made.
