Anybody else had the clip at the end of a touchline flag magically disappear, and the flag come off the stick at the most inopportune time? Surely not just me that's happened to

Oh yes, especially with the old wooden Touchline flags with the screw in top. One game I didn't even realise it had come off, flagged offside only realising when I brought it down to point at the location that I was sans flag. At that point some wag behind me shouts "oi lino, looking of this" as he holds my flag aloft.
