Do you think Lahoz was sent packing because they thought he had a bad game Portugal v France? He was the only one to do 3 group matches, so they must have thought highly of him, so to be sent home is unexpected.

    Bournemouth and Goal Line Technology

Maybe the fact that Hawkeye themselves apologised for the error may have some form of bearing on any legal challenge. Their apology indicated that a goal had been scored!

How long before Coronavirus impacts Football?

I suggested to my French 'county' back when everything was stopped, that they should just freeze the 2019/20 season until more was known. I suggested that football might not be able to restart for at least a year, so they might be able to finish this season from March 2021. Everybody thought I...

How long before Coronavirus impacts Football?

Just to correct you about France. It is until September, so likely all pro football here will now be finished for 2019/20. The measures actually cover ANY event likely to attract more than 5000 people, so will also include other sports, events and tourist attractions.

They think it's all over ... It is now!

China was able to lock down a huge population, which Europe or USA and Canada have not and because of the West's way of life will never be able to do. I hope that I am wrong, but much of the world will be locked down, maybe not continuously, for the rest of the year. China are already planning...

They think it's all over ... It is now!

All competitions should be frozen and resumed early next year. The season can be named 2019-2020-2021. I doubt there will be vaccines available for the general public in time for the start of the new season, and until there is a vaccine available there will always be restrictions on our lives...

Dutch Referee Blog - Week 19 Laws of the Game Quiz 2019-2020

    Fabregas Red Card VAR

The French take a different tack, and not as you say. ANY tackle above the ankle WILL be a sending off.

    Fabregas Red Card VAR

That will be a red every time in France (with VAR). French referees are instructed that anything above the ankle is a red card! Personally, like others, I think a Yellow is sufficient. I think in England (even using VAR) it will be a Yellow.

They think its all over - it is now!

After 45 seasons in the middle I have decided to hang up my whistle. I have been approached to be a match delegate, and to do both is not allowed. So as I am now 62, I think I will take up this offer. It keeps me in the game. I will miss being in the middle though!
