    Everton - Forest

Given your take, I absolutely agree.

    Everton - Forest

For the first one, what mitigating factors would make you think it might not be a penalty? All l I see is a player getting kicked, with force, in his foot.

    Everton - Forest

    Stuart, is that you?

    City vs Chelsea

I don't disagree with your reasoning. But referee have been giving anything that touches a slightly outstretched arm for a few years now. This is getting given 9/10 times IMO. In Europe competition, there wouldn't even be a debate.

    Everton - Forest

Whoever was in the VAR room deserves a weekend off at least. Missing 3 stonewall penalties when you have a replay is not acceptable.

    City vs Chelsea

I was making the point that handball was given much less often back then (and I think this would still be given).

    City vs Chelsea

I came on here expecting to join in with the entire forum calling this a penalty! 😬 I'm very surprised that people are saying no pen. Have I missed some issued guidance? That was a penalty 15 years ago so it's probably 3 penalties and a red card today. These failures to sent The Guvnor to the...

    Bristol City vs Huddersfield

Absolutely. That's where your arm goes when you slide.

    Chelsea Vs Everton

Couldn't tell you. But have you ever awarded a penalty that long after the contact?

    Barca V PSG

Referee was very liberal with the cards. Was cautioning anything that moved. The end of his tournament? For me In just not sure the contact was enough for a penalty. Looks like the player feels the contact and dives IMO.

    Chelsea Vs Everton

Cringeworthy attempt to save face that makes the referee team look like... Well, liars. The referee was 100% awarding the pen for the 2nd challenge.

    Bournemouth Vs Man Utd

Def not a penalty for handball I think we all agree. As for the Bourn penalty. I seem to be on my own but here goes: NO FOUL. I genuinely don't know what the defender is supposed to do. He doesn't move left or right. The attacker knocks it past him and runs right into him. Maybe I'm missing...

    Level 4 - What Happens?

You clearly bloody love it, which is great (I genuinely wish I loved it as much). But surely you can see how clubs/leagues will take advantage of your (and others) goodwill to pay the minimum they can get away with? They would absolutely pay us nothing if enough people accepted this.

    Level 4 - What Happens?

Oh absolutely you must enjoy it. But why should they be happy with the money if it's less than minimum wage? We should value our own time. The powers that be think they're doing some refs a favour!

    Level 4 - What Happens?

There's a subtle difference between "wonder how many refs they string along for 10 years at this level" and "all refs at this level are being strung along". That said, You're EXACTLY the type of person they're relying on to do this for peanuts. "Yeah give Big Cat £5 for this stellar...

    Level 4 - What Happens?

I'm not sure saying "L4 refs should be paid £10 an hour minimum for the time they sacrifice on a Saturday" is quite "I'm motivated by easy money". I doubt there's a person on here that wouldn't earn more doing 8 hours overtime at work (with less pressure and no abuse). So the "motivated by...

    Level 4 - What Happens?

As a person that travels for my full-time job, I am ABSOLUTELY paid for my travel time. How could my work send me on a 4hr round trip and expect me to only be paid for my time on site?

    Level 4 - What Happens?

Very interesting thread this. This sounds like one of those companies that offers unpaid internships with the faint hope of a job at the end. Some of the figures quoted above for an entire day's works are simply taking the p*ss. Wonder how many refs they string along for 10 years at this level?

The equivalence is the chewing gum!?! At this point you're trolling surely?

So you concede it is unprofessional. Thank you, that's all I needed. For the record I'm not that bothered if you chew tobacco. It's amatur football.
