My son accepted an appointment for a kids game for last thursday but due to the fact that he's found a job in the meantime he was going to let the guy down due to training for his new job etc. So, the little bugger rang the chap to tell him and he was begging him still to come etc, so my son offered MY services saying I was qualified and all that, this was before even asking me!!
Anyway, I was working from home and I accepted not knowing what age etc etc, when I got there they were U6 and U7 LOL, anyway on the side was a young Down Syndrome lad about 10, he was making gestures towards me all game in a nice way etc and so at each interval (4) I went over for a chat with his family and he was trying to communicate etc in his own way. So, with about 200 parents and family members watching I decided to do a ceremonial yellow carding and Red carding of this young lad to the great hilarity of all watching. It brightened up his and his family day and he loved being the only player to get carded and his name taken LOL..
Easy £20, some terrible throw ins but hey, they are learning!!
