Just a little pull.....

No but you're kind of proving my point - we simply don't know if the attacker is imbalanced by something so how can you adamantly stick to this? If someone's shirt gets a yank, it's a FK and that's all there is to it. I'm not going to get my crystal ball out and know if the player had to correct some imbalance or run harder to stop himself slowing down as a result of the shirt pull. He might not slow down, but the opponent has a fist full - surely you're not going to wave what away?? Because you're not correct in law if you do.

I'm starting to feel like this is the sort of argument that's likely to go around and around in circles when odds are we probably don't apply it that differently on the field anyway. As such I'm going to leave this one alone :)

Mentally ? i've heard it all now...... plain and simple player was not affected, got his shot away...... does exactly what it says on the tin...... done and dusted.... and for that reason i too am out......

Surely you're giving a free kick for someone be verbally distracted before taking a shot?
So mentally affecting an opponent is possible no?
But the theme of this thread seems to be pretentiously leaving a thread where someone has a differing opinion whilst quoting a popular TV show..... so I guess I'm out!

I'm glad I could teach you something you've apparently never heard before! Does a player have to fall over to be put off? Distraction is a mental thing, no? Or could you not quite make that link as you were busy coming up with condescending outro's?

Like deusex says, shouting is putting off an opponent and that's doesn't have to manifest into a physical reaction and that is an infringement so I'm failing to see why the term "mentally" has thrown people here...

Can't help but agree with that - shame not everyone could speak so respectfully in differing opinions!
