How long can you stay on promotion pathway?

Hi all,

I applied for promotion last year and didn’t fulfill my games due to work and my son playing alternate days each week.

I have 20 games over the 2 years that would qualify but will struggle to get the remainder in this year. There are no Saturday leagues really local to me and the travel isn’t great plus mileage with a flat fee. I’ve stuck to mainly Sunday games due to two local leagues being relatively close but would aim to referee Saturday football where available next year.

Just wondered if they would continue into next season or would be scrapped and start again?

I may be wrong but I believe that under the new system games at 7-6 or 6-5 (or Y1-2 for under 16s) can be carried over for as long as you want.

I started my promotion last season and carried over my games to this season as I was waiting for Match Day coaching visits. I did have to complete another LOTG quiz at the start of the season to stay enrolled within the promotion scheme. I would probably speak to your RDO who will be in the best position to advise you on this.

Good to know as I'm 21 games in but gonna struggle to hit 25

Out of 24 games I’ve done this season, 14 have been middles, unlikely to get to 25 before the season ends as have already been given 2 lines already this month. Had 2 observations though.
