i dont get what you mean mate
denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity if he was older it wouldve been red but i didnt want to discourage at that age so i opted yellow

You didn't want to discourage a player from committing a red card offence?
So the next time he does it, and the referee sends him off......he will be all confused because the last time he did it, he only got a yellow.......

Have to say though, I am in agreement. If your going to give cards they have to be the right colour. Picking the wrong ones as you pick and choose will only lead to confusion and an expectation on next weeks ref.

its a learning curb you dont want to discourage the game allthough the tackle was red i opted yellow in the spirit of the game im doing no one any favours by sending him off the team will be down to 10 but equally the other team wont want an 11 yr old sent off either as they are STILL LEARNING
