Goalkeeper throws ball at oppositon player.

Yes I agree that would have been the best option having seen the responses on here and thought it through further

Goalkeeper throws ball at oppositon player.

To be fair I was expecting dad's and lads sort of stuff but it's nothing like it. Proper league ie on fa site and have a ref sec and all that. Pretty industrial language in game and gave out couple of yellows one for either side separate to the main incident partly to try and calm it down a bit...

Goalkeeper throws ball at oppositon player.

Yes the free kick to the keepers team would have been the most sensible option in fairness. I don't actually know where I got the idea of a indirect free kick from in that instance to be honest. Guess it's that decision making under pressure bit isn't it. I had a number of players in my face as...

Goalkeeper throws ball at oppositon player.

Oh absolutley. Certainly not easy. This was a church league game as well! Gave 2 yellows out separate to that one for persistent fouling and one for ungentlemanly conduct. No such thing as an easy game!

Goalkeeper throws ball at oppositon player.

Hi. Bit rusty, as 3rd game of the season this morning, after not reffing last season much at all. Ball goes through to goalkeeper, striker chasing, goalkeeper catches, minor collision due to momentum but keeper has the ball. Didnt have the best view if I'm honest but seemed minor happens all the...

    Extremely Late 'Challenge'

Chap who was on about 'what football expects other week' anyone who knows and understands the game understands that is a yellow card. Guy who commits the foul expects a yellow equally guy who is fouled expects a yellow. It's a yellow.

    Newcastle Vs Palace

Where it was on pitch is irrelevant not sure how that makes it excessive

    Newcastle Vs Palace

I actually think it was a yellow but have only seen it in slow motion so depends on speed. It seems fashionable particularly with pundits to say oh it was scissor motion in tackle it's a red. Not necessarily case

    Bloody Players

What makes you believe that refereeing is in such a state of decline may I ask out of interest? I personally would say it's at a higher level of quality then it ever has been certainly in England then it ever has been although admittedly the quantity is an issue at the moment

    General feeling...

Fairly new ref did my course in June, done over 20 games now. Not really sure how to formulate my thoughts but i will have a go... Does or did anyone have quite a empty feeling after refereeing games? Sometimes feel I have had a great game and feel high, sometimes complete opposite, a lot of...

    Drop ball (new rules)

Wasn't aware of this until it came up other day in conversation. So just to clarify, it's a 'sporting' drop ball player who is 'supposed' to kick ball back to keeper dribbles with it shoots, comes off keeper and goes in that is a goal? Doesn't touch keeper it's goal kick?

    Throw-in wording

Foot only needs to be touching line so can be on field of play yes
