Agreed Andy. Understand it at higher levels and the more important matches (FA Cup, Vase etc) but not youth or parks football. I've done it on two youth games this year and on both got stares lol not even going to attempt Sunday league mens or even Saturdays .
oo i see what you mean. I too agree that the tackle (if you can call it that) could very easily have been deserving a red. However i don't believe were saying that a yellow was given because the ball is out of play. Instead i think we're saying that it wasn't a penalty because the ball was out...
God could you imagine the game without the offside law :o It would be like playing football in the playground again with 10 people standing in the box taking shots and one not so good player stood twenty yards back the other way 'in goal' hahah
But how can you give then pen if the ball had already gone out of play? Its incorrect in law and i god knows how they would explain that to assessors lol I personally think dowd got the decision bang on! but hey ho its all just opinions lol
If you look closely when dowd has his chat with lampard over the situation you can lipread him saying "as the ball was already out of play..." Its amazing what you can read from a far after becoming a referee lol
I too think that OS's pro swivels are the best on the market. So was rather peed when OS went down the drain. Fortunately I have two sets so should be a while before needing to replace them :)
Me as senior AR with Lee Bradbury next to us.
I definitely didn't fall over running backwards!!
All 3 of us looking rather serious... but they were playing M&M as we walked out lol
