Level 4 and a Masters Degree

Okay, this is helpful, my follow up question is, should I be promoted to Level 4 in England, how does this carry over if I did go to Wales/Scotland/NI?

Level 4 and a Masters Degree

I've been thinking about going for promotion to Level 4 next season, but I'm not sure the environment is conducive to me. I have been living abroad for most of this season and have only refereed a handful of games and I am due to complete a Bachelor's degree during next season. Intending to...

    Crackdown of Dissent

I think that's a fair comment. I believe that if sin-bins were brought in and implemented in a way that didn't see them used as an immediate reaction to low level dissent, but as a threat and a deterrent, it would aid the referee in their match control.

    Crackdown of Dissent

Yes, my issue is being consistent with the strictness, which looks as if is really difficult to be, a few weeks ago when United played Liverpool, Dalot was sent off for two dissent by actions towards the referee, Nuñez got away with doing similar to the assistant, but I assume the assistant...

    Crackdown of Dissent

I’ve been hesitant to post this sort of opinion but with the new crackdown of dissent at the elite level I feel that the way officials are being asked to referee makes it very hard to be consistent and actually makes it more difficult for us at grassroots level as it isn’t representative of the...

    Sheffield Wednesday vs Hull City

I thought yellow, definitely reckless and showing disregard for player safety, not sure that’s worthy of a red but from you can certainly understand why it was given.

    Sin Bins in Top Flight

I’ve read that the IFAB could potentially bring in sin-bins to the top flight, but I’m seeing a lot on Twitter from fans and media outlets assuming they are for what are being described as “orange card” offences. Surely sin bins will just be for dissent if introduced to elite football?

For those of you who use RefSix, how do you make the most of the new “tags” feature, and what do you write in your “notes” section?

I’ve never used a Valkeen as they are expensive but I’ve been satisfied with an Acme Tornado, better than a Fox 40… what’s so good about the Valkeen?

    Cleaning Cards

I have the large b+d yellow and red cards from The Ref Stop, only issue I have is that I don’t know how to clean them? Any advice to clean these including ink stains?

    Other player Removes Goalscorer’s Shirt

Appreciate this, and what @socal lurker says, the player was quite willing and happy to have his shirt taken off, and he didn't put it back on.

FA Cup - MNC vs MNU

The raising of the arm is not justifiable by the player's movement, I think it's a penalty. Albeit it rather unfortunate for Grealish. I liked how Ally McCoist mentioned that the penalty was awarded as per the LOTG, and not how Lee Dixon described it - a decision given by someone that doesn't...

    Other player Removes Goalscorer’s Shirt

Cup final for me on Thursday, late on in the first half, a goal was scored to put the team ahead, the goal scorer celebrated with his team, diving to ground with a teammate who grabbed the goalscorer’s shirt, causing it to come off. In the moment I concluded that this wasn’t an accident and a...

    Liv Villa - Mings VAR

I owe an apology, I’ve just seen the highlights from the Liverpool YouTube channel, better angle provided… the Sky Sports one made it look like Konaté won the ball! I can see he hasn’t.

    Liv Villa - Mings VAR

How is it as straightforward as you say from the angle provided in the highlights?
