I was wondering what everybody thought about what I saw last night. Watching a local game last night in the West Midlands Regional league so the match had 3 officials.. Home manager getting very aggressive towards all 3 officials after not agreeing with some decisions going against them...

Once he's gone past him, beat him and then gets pulled back, 99% of the time it's got to be a caution IMO. Especially as most of the time in these situations they are deliberately, cynically stopping a rather dangerous attack.

I reffed my first 'non school' game tonight, it was an 11 aside midweek league which has 25 minute halves so I've got in at the shallow end.. My first question of I'm sure many, Is does anybody compliment a player on a nice piece of play? I found myself saying things like "great save keeper...

Just to put a spanner in the works, I got in touch with my counties RDO this month after not doing any reffing for 8 years. He was happy to allow me to be reinstated as a level 7 aslong as I passed the LOTG exam. I got 39/42 passed with no fee other than to register to the league. Sorry :(

Thanks for such a good response guys, always nice to see the replies when new to a forum. DB, I'm looking to juggle playing and reffing towards the end of this season just to get back in the swing of things, hopefully this will help break me and the lads I know into realising our relationship...
