Hi all, Hope I'm posting this in the relevant place. I'm looking to begin 5-4 promotion in February, having run lines on a Supply League for the last 3 seasons, and just wondering which games will count towards the 20 (and 10 AR appts.) My CFA has some fairly old documents on their website...

Junior AR on a supply league game yesterday, fans behind me. Throw in taken on far side and attacker receives it. Bloke behind me shouts "lino he was offside when he received that!" His mate then told him it was a throw in and I didn't hear another word... Who says fans don't know the laws?

I'm going to see if I can go and watch some of the more senior refs in my RA on a matchday and see how they handle things, as well as getting a mentor and doing some lines first of all before going into the middle.

Thanks for the helpful messages guys. I think I will try a couple of OA friendlies and reserve games this season if possible. If I enjoy it then I'll go for promotion the season after methinks.
