    Carlisle v Yeovile

Watch it again, 28 seconds, top of the screen just left of the sky sports logo. Also its two different players, 15 gets a yellow, 5 gets sent off.

    Advantage from A throw-in.

@MKAhmad The way I'd see it, you can't play advantage because technically the game hasn't restarted correctly, therefore the game hasn't restarted and the ball isn't in play, so you can't play advantage from it.

What has happened here? Crewe V Rotherham

Looks to me like red number 6 was doing something before the corner was taken, tying his shoelace or something involving him holding his head possibly? Looks like something the ref would normally hold the corner up for had he been aware of it and thus he orders the corner to be retaken after...

Availability & Demand on L4 Referees

@L9212 You've hit the nail on the head with your OP mate. The big difference at level 4 from level 5 is that everything now becomes expected/demanded. For example, closed dates have to be submitted online roughly 6 weeks in advance, any changes after this must be done by email and are...

    GoalKick

I don't mean this to be as confrontational as it sounds but its seems to as though you're just making this up (which I know you can't be because Brian agrees so it must have been written/discussed somewhere). I understand what you're trying to say however I can't see in the LOTG why advantage...

Simulation - stop play, or carry on?

Number 1 for me. Can you imagine how difficult it'd be to sell a yellow for simulation a few minutes later... Simulation's often given because a decision has to be made, dive or penalty (usually). I can't see it being easy to apply option 2 successfully.

    Junior/Youth First match of season

    1) Spot on in my opinion, well handled 2) Common sense would suggest that at this level of grassroots football (especially if no one expects/wants it) play on. In law IDFK. Again I agree with what you did 3) For me, in an attacking position like this, no quick ones, players usually understand...

    First ever observation!

Good luck pal. Don't worry about having someone there because as has been said before, observers at grassroots level only do it to try to help you become a better ref, not for their own benefit so just ref how you normally would and they'll offer their advice on how you can improve. And don't...

    Fitness tests

I believe that's the current football league assistant ref's fitness test more or less, except they have 10 seconds for the CODA test and have to do 40 metres sprints I think. Personally i much prefer doing this rather than the 12 minute one, it just doesn't seem to be as boring!

    Panel Fees?

Hi All Just wondered if anyone know what the fees are at level 2B, 2A and the football league for middles and lines?

Junior/Youth goal, pitch invasion, quick kickoff, ...?

Put simply, you cannot allow the game to restart in this scenario until everyone is ready, it would be suicidal. I had almost an identical situation a couple of weeks ago. The opposition asked if they could kick off and I just said no, no need for a reason (in the LOTG there was no reason why I...
